GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP AND BUSINESS OPERATIONS OF GRAND CASINO LIPICA PLAYERS CLUB
1. General Provisions

The Grand Casino Lipica Players Club is a loyalty program in which users of the services of Casino Portorož d.d., unit Grand Casino Lipica (hereinafter: “the member(s)”), in accordance with these general terms and conditions, collect points that can be redeemed when purchasing goods and services in the Grand Casino Lipica. Redeeming points provides discounts or other benefits when using goods and services. A higher number of points brings greater benefits.

Members of the loyalty program may also participate in other current promotions of the operator’s individual business units.

The operator of the program is Casino Portorož d.d., Obala 75a, 6320 Portorož, unit Grand Casino Lipica (hereinafter: “the Operator”).

Upon the effective date of these General Terms and Conditions, the previous general terms of the loyalty club cease to apply.


2. Membership

To participate in the Grand Casino Lipica Players Club loyalty program, it is necessary to become a member of the Grand Casino Lipica Players Club, which can be done upon entry to the Grand Casino Lipica.

Upon registration, the member receives a Grand Casino Players Club card (hereinafter: “the club card”), which may be used in accordance with these General Terms and Conditions of Membership and Business Operations of the Grand Casino Lipica Players Club (hereinafter: “the General Terms”).

The club card becomes active upon collection and activation at the reception desk.

Membership in the Grand Casino Lipica Players Club is voluntary and free of charge. Each member has the right to withdraw from the Club at any time and return the club card in accordance with these General Terms. The request for withdrawal must be submitted in writing, and the Operator reserves the right to verify the identity of the member.

Any natural person entering the Grand Casino Lipica may become a member, provided they meet the following conditions:

  • are at least 18 years old;

  • have not submitted a self-exclusion from gambling in accordance with the Slovenian Gaming Act (Official Gazette of the RS No. 27/1995 with amendments);

  • do not have an active ban on entering the Operator’s casinos;

  • are not employed by the Operator and/or by a contractual partner involved in the Grand Casino Lipica Players Club program or performing work for it on any other legal basis (contract work, student work, etc.).


3. Club Levels of the Grand Casino Lipica Players Club

The Grand Casino Lipica Players Club has five levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold, VIP Exclusive, and Chairman.

Progression between levels is based on the number of points collected:

  1. Bronze – required annual points: 0

  2. Silver – required annual points: 4,000

  3. Gold – required annual points: 15,000

  4. VIP Exclusive – required annual points: 40,000

  5. Chairman – by decision of the Operator’s management

Promotion to a higher level occurs automatically upon meeting the requirement or by decision of the Operator’s management.
Promotion to Chairman levels is handled manually.
The Chairman level is available by invitation only.

Demotion or level verification is performed once per year or as decided by the management.

The period for collecting points for level transitions is one year, starting from the date of joining the club. After one year, points older than one year are no longer considered.


4. Earning and Redeeming Points and Benefits

Members collect points through play on slot machines, electronic roulettes, live games.

  • On slot machines and electronic roulettes, the player inserts the club card into the reader, allowing the play to be recorded.

  • At live games, the member gives the card to the dealer or inspector at the table.

Collected points are recorded on the club card.

In case of technical issues, the collection or redemption of points may be interrupted or temporarily disabled. The Operator reserves the right to unilaterally adjust or correct point balances in case of system malfunction, error, or attempted fraud.

A member who has a self-exclusion from gambling or a casino entry ban cannot earn or redeem points during that period. After the exclusion or ban expires, points may be redeemed if still valid.

The Operator is not responsible for points lost due to incorrect use of the card.

Earning Points
  1. Slot Machines

    • For every €5 played – 1 point

    • For every €10 played on electronic roulette or video poker – 1 point

  2. Live Games

    • Points depend on game type, play duration, and average bet (details available from casino staff).

  3. Cash Payments in Bars and Restaurants

    • For every €10 spent in cash – 1 point (points are not awarded for tobacco purchases).

Points cannot be exchanged for cash.

Redeeming Points

Members can redeem points for free play (freeplay) or benefits for goods and services in bars, restaurants, hotels, or display case items. Redemption limits may depend on the member’s level.

Price lists and conversion rates are publicly available in the casino and on the Operator’s website.

The Operator does not cover costs for unused points.

Use of Hospitality Services

Club members are entitled to free drinks in the bar (coffee, water, soft drinks, draught beer, house wine).

Different membership levels have different discounts when redeeming points or paying cash in bars/restaurants. Discounts do not apply to items already discounted.

Members may redeem points for display case items (maximum one item per day).


5. Other Important Member Information

The Operator reserves the right to terminate membership and benefits for any member who attempts to misuse the club card (e.g., uses another person’s card, collects benefits from another’s play, or otherwise breaches these rules).

Membership, club cards, points, and benefits are non-transferable.

The Operator is not responsible for card misuse. If the card is lost or stolen, the member must immediately notify the Operator at casinoplayersclub@casino.si. The Operator will disable the lost/stolen card within 48 hours.

6. Termination of Membership

Membership in the Grand Casino Lipica Players Club terminates:

  • upon the member’s death;

  • upon written withdrawal by the member;

  • in case of card misuse or violation of these Terms;

  • if the member violates house rules;

  • if the Operator discontinues the program.

Upon termination, the member loses all accumulated points and benefits. Points cannot be transferred to heirs.


7. Personal Data Protection

By entering Grand Casino Lipica, the member is informed of these Terms (available at www.casinoji.si and at casino receptions) and gives consent for processing personal data for membership purposes, acknowledging the Operator’s privacy policy.

If a member provides an email or mobile number, the Operator may use it to send offers tailored to the member’s age, gender, and region.

Types and Purposes of Data Processing

By using the club card, data about games and benefits are recorded to:

  • ensure benefit application;

  • inform members of eligible benefits;

  • send promotional and personalized offers;

  • analyze play behavior to improve services;

  • verify compliance with these Terms;

  • send technical or legal notices.

Consent is automatic upon joining the club. Data are processed only per these Terms.

Right to Object and Update Data

Members may withdraw consent at any time:

  • In writing: Casino Portorož d.d., Obala 75a, 6320 Portorož

  • By email: dpo@casino.si

  • By SMS: text “CL STOP” (Lipica) or “CP STOP” (Portorož) to 4246 (or +38640500202 for foreign numbers)

  • By clicking a link in received messages

The Operator will process changes within 15 days.

Data Recipients

Personal data will not be shared except:

  • with state authorities upon written request;

  • with external processors (e.g., affiliated companies, printers) under contractual control.

Data Retention

Data are retained while membership is active. Upon termination, data are blocked and no longer used. If the card is revoked, data are retained for up to one year thereafter.

Members may request access, restriction, or portability of their data in writing to the Operator or via email (dpo@casino.si).

8. Dispute Resolution

The Operator does not recognize any out-of-court consumer dispute resolution provider as competent for resolving disputes under the Out-of-Court Consumer Dispute Resolution Act.


9. Final Provisions

These General Terms are available in the casino. Upon request, the Operator will provide a copy at any time during membership.

The Operator reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Members will be notified of changes on the website and in the casino.

If a member does not withdraw from the contract within 15 days after publication, the amended Terms are deemed accepted and binding.
